Body armor live fire demonstration in which the President and Director of Operations of Discreet Body Armor LLC are shot at point blank range.

The following live fire demonstration has two segments. You will first observe Thomas Griffin, Discreet Body Armor President, being shot at point blank range with a Sig Sauer P229 .40 firearm. The ammunition utilized for this test was a .40 S&W 165 grain full metal jacket (FMJ). This round was travelling at approximately 1060 feet per second when it made impact with the DBA Computer Case being worn by Mr. Griffin. Travelling at that speed, the round possessed an impact of 4600 pounds per square foot. In the second segment, you will observe Patrick Griffin, Director of Operations, being shot at point blank range with a Sig Sauer P232 .380 firearm. The ammunition utilized for this test was a .380 95 grain full metal jacket (FMJ). This round was travelling at approximately 951 feet per second when it made impact with the DBA Padfolio being worn by our test subject. Traveling at that speed, the round possessed an impact of 2200 pounds per square foot.
