This book does for personal performance improvement what “One Minute Manager” does for personnel management and “Say It In Six” does for speech preparation.
Olympian Lanny Bassham lays out his approach to developing a winning mindset for peak performance. Bassham was an International Three Position rifle shooter with Bill Pullum’s incredible gold-winning team through the 1960s and 70s, thus, many of the examples given refer to his competitive marksmanship experience but the tools and processes can be applied to any field of endeavor.
Nothing is ever going to replace nose-to-the-grindstone effort but a good outlook gives an edge. If you’re interested in improving yourself for any reason this is a good book to get, doubly so if marksmanship is your area of interest.

One can teach the physical aspects of pistol shooting in just a few minutes. How hard is it to learn stance, grip , “equal light equal height”? Yet the mental aspects control 95% of an accurate shot. That is what this book is about. I hightly recommend it to anybody interested in improving their shooting. It is in my weapons library for a reason.
