Back in the 1950s and even later, many high schools had shooting ranges. Students even brought their own rifles to school. What changed in society that we could trust such activities then, but not now?

Kids had parents that cared about them, mothers stayed at home and made a family, everyone knew where everybody elses kids were. Not alot of violence on the mass media. No video games. No desensitization to violent activities. No gangs, at least that were armed. Different time, different world.
